On Campus Resources
Student and Trainee Governing Boards- Graduate Student Association
- Nursing Student Senate: promotes and represents student interests, encourages student involvement, and communicates with administration to advance students’ interests.
- Medical Student Senate: coordinates funding for student groups and organizes social, charity, and educational activities for the school.
- JHSPH Student Assembly: supports student groups and organizes educational opportunities, school-wide formals, an annual talent show, and other social events.
- House Staff Council: represents the interns and residents of the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Bayview Campus.
- Johns Hopkins Postdoctoral Association: supports and enhances the postdoctoral experience on the East Baltimore and Bayview campuses by seeking to improve fellows’ daily life and building a sense of community. - An organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender individuals and their allies at the Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing, Public Health, and Medicine.
- Monthly discussion group open on a drop-in basis which encourages reflective practice, nurtures empathy through storytelling and builds community through literature, film, art and writing. For more information, contact lsmall2@jhmi.edu
- Sponsors social events throughout the year and assists international Hopkins affiliates with visas and immigration.
- Johns Hopkins Medicine Office of Diversity, Inclusions and Health Equity’s Resources for Racial Discussions
- Learn about JHU’s commitment to the dignity and equality of all persons—inclusive of sex, gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and veteran status.
- Provide tools and strategies to the Johns Hopkins community so that the institution is more sustainable and remains strong and vibrant.
- SOURCE (Student Outreach Resource Center) is the community engagement and service-learning center for the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Schools of Public Health, Nursing, and Medicine.
- LGBTQ Life serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied community at Johns Hopkins. Their website provides information on JHU and community resources.
- This office leads JHU efforts to foster an environment that is inclusive, respectful and free from discrimination and harassment. In its role, OIE ensures compliance with affirmative action and equal opportunity laws, investigates discrimination and sexual harassment complaints, and serves as a central resource for those with disabilities or those who require religious accommodation.
